My most recent black and white tree print. I like the ground plane - it has a nice interleaving texture. Sometimes the sketch on the lino is only the first idea and that idea changes as I cut.
Such a beautiful print! I love all of these Japanese trees that you've done. The detail is amazing!!! I'm a beginner printmaker, and I've tried to do linocut prints with not much success when printing. Do you use a press, or hand burnish? Can you recommend an ink/paper combo? The relief prints that I have done never print evenly...always patchy, and I just get so discouraged. Thank you and keep up the lovely work! Best, Elizabeth.
